01—About Vidya Vihar
Love. Joy. Service.Three words. Four decades. One promise.
02—The Vidya Vihar story
Founded in1988.
Founded in 1988, the Ravindranath Tagore Education Society was born of a simple but powerful conviction — that the children of Gadchiroli and Chandrapur deserved an education as fine as any in the country, without ever having to leave the soil that raised them. At a time when ambitious parents felt torn between distance and quality, between modern schooling and the sanskar of home, our Society opened its doors as both a refuge and a runway — a place where rooted values would meet world-class learning, guided always by the gentle philosophy of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore: Love, Joy and Service.
Nearly four decades on, that founding promise continues to shape every classroom, corridor, and conversation, even as we have grown to embrace CBSE rigour, digital fluency, co-curricular excellence, and the wider horizons today’s children deserve. We prepare a new generation for futures their grandparents could scarcely have imagined — yet we remain anchored to the three words that have defined us from day one, because a parent’s dreams may evolve with every generation; the dignity, joy, and purpose they want for their child does not.
03—Our vision
Rooted in soil.Reaching for sky.
To nurture a generation of young Indians who carry the wisdom of their roots and the confidence of the wider world — children who think clearly, feel deeply, and serve generously. We envision Vidya Vihar as a school where every child of Gadchiroli and Chandrapur discovers that their dreams are not limited by their pin code, and that excellence, character, and compassion can flourish on the same soil that raised them.
04—Our mission
Every day,deliberately.
To deliver an education rooted in Love, Joy and Service — where rigorous CBSE academics, modern facilities, and thoughtful teaching meet the timeless values of Indian family life. We commit ourselves, every single day, to:
- Teaching with patience, preparing with purpose, and treating every child as our own.
- Building classrooms that are emotionally safe, intellectually alive, and joyfully Indian in spirit.
- Partnering closely with parents, because a child's growth is a shared promise, not a transaction.
- Sending into the world young people who are ready not just to earn a living, but to live a life of meaning.

06—A letter from the heart of Vidya Vihar
A message fromour founder.
When we laid the foundation of the Ravindranath Tagore Education Society in 1988, we did not begin with grand buildings or borrowed blueprints. We began with a question — what kind of school would we want for our own children? The answer was simple, and it has guided us every day since: a school that loves before it teaches, that finds joy in the small wonders of childhood, and that prepares its students not only to succeed in the world, but to serve it.
— Mr. R. Chandra Reddy, Founder & Director
